Zine Web Hosting Magazine) – If you’re curious about Windows 7’s successor, then look no further than a recent blog post titled “Building Windows 8” by Microsoft’s Steven Sinofsky (President of Windows and Windows Live Division). With the post, Sinofsky says Microsoft wants to create an “open dialogue.”
Concerning Windows 8, the post states, “Windows 8 reimagines Windows for a new generation of computing devices, and will be the very best operating system for hundreds of millions of PCs, new and old, used by well over a billion people globally.”
According to Microsoft, the dialogue will focus on things like “design choices, real-world data and usage, and new opportunities that are part of Windows 8.” Meanwhile, Sinofsky indicated that the company dedicated to continued support of Windows 7.
The yet to be releases operating system’s predecessor, Windows 7 was released in 2009. Just earlier this month, research firm Gartner released a forecast predicting that 42% of all personal computers will feature Windows 7 by the end of next year.
