(Ping! Zine Web Tech Magazine) – One’s loss is another’s gain: According to a CNN Money report on Thursday, Windows Phone accounted for more smartphone shipments than BlackBerry, a first in the mobile market.
The results were analyzed in a report from IDC.
Windows Phone took the number three spot behind Android and iOS devices while BlackBerry assumed the fourth spot.
The move arrives despite BlackBerry’s revamping and its campaign to popularize BlackBerry 10.
Contributing significantly to Windows Phone’s success were products designed by mobile developer Nokia which account for 20.3 million shipments.
