(Ping! Zine Web Tech Magazine) – Development for mobile OS Android is perhaps easier than ever. Why? During last week’s Google I/O conference, the company delivered a new IDE called “Android Studio.”
“This new build system allows you to build your projects in the IDE as well as on your continuous integrations servers. The combination lets you easily manage complex build configurations natively, throughout your workflow, across all of your tools,” stated Google via its Android Developers Blog.
Among the capabilities provided for with the new IDE are code editing based on IntelliJ IDEA, a “smoother and richer” GUI, access to Google services via Android Tools along with open source development.
Android Studio is free and Google is currently looking for feedback regarding the platform (still considered an early preview). If interested, you can download it here (developer.android.com).
