According to a post on Battle.net on Tuesday, World of Warcraft has more than 100 million players since its launch in 2004.
“Since World of Warcraft launched, more than 100M unique World of Warcraft accounts , including trials, have been created. That’s twice as many accounts as people in South Korea, or as many as the population of Germany, Belarus, and Sweden combined!”
Battle.net’s statistics show that the game is played in over 244 countries and territories, including Christmas Island, the Bahamas, and Antarctica.
More than 500 million characters have been created, 9 million guilds, 3.6 million pet battles, and 11 million achievements have been accomplished everyday since MoP launch.
