(Ping! Zine Web Tech magazine) – Blizzard on Tuesday moved to cut mobile access to World of WarCraft’s auction house following what the company said was a rise in unauthorized account logins.
The sketchy access was made either through Battle.net or the WoW application for mobile armory.
“While no means of account security is guaranteed, every precaution you take to secure your computer and your account—including changing your password periodically—adds another defensive barrier. We strongly encourage everyone to take a few moments to read through the security tips available on our support website and follow the suggestions posted there,” explained Blizzard via a statement posted on Battle.net.
For those who have been impacted, the company said it would restore in-game items and gold upon request.
