Major Nelson explained on his blog the highlights of the update, a “new sound mixer for snapped apps, chat volume controls when using Kinect” and the option to help Microsoft improve speech recognition.
“The more voice samples we have to input into our algorithms, the better and more responsive Xbox One can be to our fans,” says Major Nelson. “If you want to help us in our efforts to make voice and speech improvements for Kinect even better, you can opt-in to a speech data collection.”
With the new update, users will be given two added features for controlling audio while using apps. The Sound Mixer allows you to control the volume levels of two different apps while using Snap, so you can decide which app is louder.
Also, you can control the volume level while using Kinect for chat.
The Xbox One update is expected to be released later this month and can be found under Settings, then under System update.
