(Ping! Zine Web Tech Magazine) – Surely plenty of fantasy football players were frustrated when Yahoo!’s service unexpectedly crashed during the worst moment: Just as the NFL games were kicking off yesterday.
Yahoo!’s Ken Fuchs, head of the company’s Sports services, sent users an email early Monday morning apologizing for the incident.
“We have restored full functionality on the website, and we’re working for a final fix for our mobile apps. Currently data and scores can be viewed but for now you cannot make transactions or change line-ups from the apps,” Fuchs stated.
The downtime reportedly occurred around noon eastern time. During the period, the website remained completely unnaccessible.
Yahoo!, meanwhile, noted it would work to improve its system to make sure a similar incident didn’t occur in the future.
