(Ping! Zine Web Tech Magazine) – Game developer Nintendo is reaching way back in its vault to make some classic titles available on the company’s new Wii U console.
According to a report from CNET on Saturday, the company intends to launch a revamped version of The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker, a title that was originally made available for the Nintendo GameCube back in late 2002.
However, the new release of the game won’t look how it used to. With the re-launch, the Wind Waker will now feature speculator looking HD graphics (CNET has pictures of the re-release here).
The game’s plot concerns the mysterious disappearing of a kingdom at the hands of Ganon. The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker is expected to arrive sometime later this year.
Nintendo recently announced a variety of new releases for the Wii U console via Nintendo Direct – also prepping a new 3D Super Mario title.
